Our Services

Children’s services

INTRODUCTION

The Children’s services began its work in January 2009.

On 1st June 2012, the Pediatric Area was inaugurated, which is divided into 3 sectors of hospitalization:

• IU (Inpatient Units): it has 6 rooms, with 2 beds each one. It’s a total of 12 beds. Managed by general pediatricians.

• PIC (Pediatric Intermediate Care): 1 room with 2 beds used for this purpose; and 1 PIC room used to perform procedures and as a shock room. Managed by intensivists.

• PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit): 4 beds (possibility of expanding the availability of ICU beds with 2 beds of PIC). Managed by intensivists.

WE DO NOT HAVE AN EMERGENCY SERVICE, ALL PATIENTS MUST SEE THEIR PEDIATRICIANS AT ANOTHER LEVEL OF ATTENTION (HOSPITAL DE LA MADRE Y EL NIÑO, PRIVATE SURGERY OR SANATORIUM) AND IF THE COMPLEXITY REQUIRES THEY WILL BE REFERRED TO THE HAC.

 Paediatric Intensive Care Benefits

Pediatric Intensive Care: a reference center of the entire province, from other public or private centers, of complex critical patients, postoperative management of critically ill children of all surgical specialties. Care by a team of specialists in Pediatric Intensive Care certified by Argentinian Society of Intensive Care (SATI).

There is also a permanent kinesiology team to care of critically ill patients.

Patients who enter Intensive Care Unit are referred to other institutions. We do not accept income due to spontaneous demand since we do not have an emergencies service.

 Benefits of Pediatric Gastroenterology

Upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy, needle puncture of the liver and rectal biopsy by fine-needle aspiration are performed. Management in the outpatient gastrointestinal, Hepatology and Celiac Disease clinics.
